Abstract

In this issue of Última Década, contemporary youth expressions and discourses are explored, with a focus on the relationship between young people and the school environment in two contributions from Argentina and Chile. The volume begins with an article by MARIANA CHAVES titled "Unfit and negative youth: current discursive formations and representations among the contemporary Argentina" Chaves presents prevailing characterizations of Argentine youth and draws certain parallels with frequently used notions in the broader Latin American region. She interprets that dominant perspectives on Latin American youth align with legal and repressive models of power.
